A Pattern Arises out of Friendship

It has been a long time since my last post. Guess that is what happens when life and everything else gets going. I will try to be better at this blogging thing. It is still somewhat of a new thing for me even though I started this blog in 2012. LOL

Anyway, as the title suggests a pattern has been designed by yours truly. My first. Although it has not been tested other than by the four I made, I am hoping it is well written and easy to follow.

One day, my best friend of 24 years (and counting) sent me a picture of a hat she saw. She knew I knitted and asked if I would be able to recreate it for her just by looking at the picture. Not knowing more than the color and look, I set out to recreate it the best way I knew how.  Trial and error. Soon enough something emerged.
So with my friend’s head measurement in mind and knowing we have the same favorite color, I got to creating.  The first attempt was too big, so I had to frog and start over. Good thing too because now I have mastered what I call the Jeanne Hat after making one for her, her two daughters, and the foreign exchange student living with them.
I have decided to make this pattern available for a free PDF download. If you would like a copy, please email me at JASKnitsDesigns@gmail.com for your PDF copy. This will be free until July 29, 2015. For those of you who actually follow this blog (the few of you there are) will understand the significance of that date. I will try to post the PDF link in a separate entry.

It is my first "published" pattern and it has not been tested except by me. If you find any errors or need any clarification, please let me know. As stated in the pattern, please do not sell/distribute the pattern or objects made from this pattern without my permission.
